2026 Writers Residency Awardees
This year’s cohort spans fiction, poetry, memoir, and essay, with projects that explore themes ranging from family legacy and identity to place, trauma, belief, and transformation. Several writers will use the residency to immerse themselves in environments that mirror or deepen their work—from remote cabins and islands to places of personal history—while others will focus on research, revision, and re-engagement. Their plans reflect a shared commitment to deeply personal storytelling, underscoring the Foundation’s investment not only in finished works, but in the creative processes that shape them.
