List Three Measurable Goals That This Funding Will Help You Achieve.

The overall goal is to continue providing support to area nonprofits.
1. Support nonprofits as they change/recreate how they provide direct services to those impacted by COVID, lack of funding from the state (Ex: CADA), and the need to address social justice.
2. Connect nonprofits and donors to address new and emerging community needs.
3. Grow the RECHARGE Mankato regional clean energy initiative.

How Will You Accomplish These Goals?

1. MAF will continue to provide grants to area nonprofits as they change/recreate how they serve communities impacted by COVID and the need to address social justice.
2. A minimum of six meetings are with area nonprofits, donors, and MAF Board members to discuss new and emerging community needs.
3. Continue and expand the momentum of RECHARGE Mankato by convening local leaders and facilitating action.

Looking Forward, How Will You Measure These Goals?

1. MAF will continue to work with donors to increase operational sustainability and to provide grants to area nonprofits.
2. MAF will convene a minimum of six meetings with area nonprofits, donors, and MAF board members. In addition to almost daily contacts to provide support to area nonprofits and information to donors.
3. MAF will assist in creating an actionable plan for the community. We can count the number of participants and partners during the process. Reaching our goal would result in a completed plan or considerable progress toward a plan.

Describe Most Significant Collaborations With Other Organizations And Efforts.

MAF was asked to spearhead an Inclusivity Study for the Mankato/North Mankato area. Partners collaborating on the project include Mayo Clinic, Cities of Mankato and North Mankato, South Central College, MSU Mankato, Blue Earth County, Nicollet County, and Greater Mankato Growth. The survey is now complete and work is underway to analyze the data. A meeting to review the results is scheduled for May 2023. Once the results are reviewed by the partners and the community, work will begin to address the findings. One staff person was hired by MAF to manage this project.

MAF received a building as a gift and is currently in the process of renovations for "Shared Spaces at Emy Frentz," a nonprofit center with a focus on the arts. This will follow the Shared Spaces model in creating a professional and affordable office space for nonprofits to conduct their good work.

What Is The Projected Timeline For The Proposed Activities?

Work will begin immediately upon confirmation of funding, and will be ongoing.
